I love to cook. In addition to having fresh ingredients having the right equipment really makes the difference between cooking up good food versus making excellent dishes that your friends and family will enjoy (and make you feel like you should be on the Iron Chef).

Right out of the box you can feel how solid these pots and pans are particularly the bottom which is so important for even heating. The 2.5 quart saucepan was put to the test with jasmine rice. Boiling was quicker than in our old pot perhaps since there is a nice seal between the pot and lid and I reduced the cooking time by 3 minutes -- the rice had a consistency that was just right. As soon as I took the first bite I noticed the difference the rice cooked up so beautifully like I would expect in a restaurant.

One negative which is more a comment on packaging -- the largest pot arrived with major scratches on the outer surface about 3" across in a big scribble pattern. Not attractive but pot functions regardless.

I like how all lids in the set are tempered glass so that you can see the progress of your cooking just as you would for a slow cooker. Since you don't need to lift the lid as often this also helps with cooking food quicker and more evenly.

I'll admit I am not a fan of RR but I do enjoy her cookware! I didn't even expect to fall for the orange handles but once in the kitchen they seem to work brightening up the room and looking fresh next to all that stainless steel.

One extra item I noticed which is different from my old set is cleaning these pots and pans. Maybe it's the minerals in our water or the food just cooked in it could make a difference but I noticed after washing the bottom of the pot or pan would have a rainbow-colored effect left on the stainless steel. When I was researching cookware sets a while back I remembered reading for stainless steel cookware a great cleanser is Bar Keeper's Friend. I had purchased it in powder form and tried it out on these pots and pans -- just dampen a paper towel slightly add a sprinkle of Bar Keeper's Friend and rub this paste on the surface of the pot or pan. Let it sit for a moment then rinse. I follow this up with dishwashing fluid just to fully cleanse and no residue or discoloration remained.

All and all a great quality set. I hope to report in years to come that it's durable and has cooked many restaurant-worthy meals!!!
